Requirements to Obtain an India E-Visa
 
A valid passport and visa are required for travel to India. The government of India now offers two types of visas for travel to India: a traditional visa and an e-Visa, which is issued electronically. 

There are three types of e-Visas:
• e-Tourist visa
• e-Business visa
• e-Medical visa
• e-Conference visa

eVisa is valid for entry through 31 designated airports: 
Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Thiruvananthapuram, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Cochin, Goa(Dabolim), Goa(Mopa), Ahmedabad, Amritsar, Gaya, Jaipur, Lucknow, Trichy, Varanasi, Calicut, Mangalore, Pune, Nagpur, Coimbatore, Bagdogra, Guwahati, Chandigarh, Visakhapatnam, Madurai, Bhubaneswar, Port Blair, Kannur, Indore

eVisa is also valid for entry at 5 major Indian seaport for cruise tourists: Mumbai, Cochin, Mormugao, Chennai, New Mangalore
 
Citizens of many countries are eligible for the Indian e-Visa. However, if the applicant, their spouse, parents or grandparents were born in (what is now) Pakistan or ever held Pakistani nationality they must apply for the traditional Indian visa through the consulate only, as they are not eligible for the e-Visa.

To obtain an India e-tourist visa you you can scan and email (or send us) the following information: 
All emailed documents should be sent as a PDF attachment, except for the photograph, which should be emailed as a Jpeg attachment.
Please note: if you are within driving distance, you may also visit us at our office.

• Clear color copy of bio page of passport (page with the picture)
• One Passport sized photograph. Photo must be 2 x 2 on a white background, and no glasses.
Emailed passport photographs should be sent in Jpeg format only.
• Completed India e-Tourist Visa Questionnaire (See link below)
• Completed Ambassador Passport and Visa Cover Letter (See link below)
• Color copy of Driver’s License
• For Minors under 18: Copy of the Birth Certificate, Copy of Both Parent's State ID, Copy of Both Parent's Passports is required.
• For Non - US Citizens: A copy of Green Card or Legal Status in United States Should also be Submitted
• Copy of last India visa - If available

• Completed India e-Visa questionnaire
• Completed Ambassador Passport and Visa Cover Letter

To obtain an India e-business visa you you can scan and email (or send us) the following information:

• A business letter of invitation from host company in India is required. The business invitation letter should be on the letterhead of the company, should be signed and have the company stamp.

• Copy of last India visa - If available

• Political Clearance from Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), Government of India
• Event Clearance from Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), Government of India 
• For Non - US Citizens: A copy of Green Card or Legal Status in United States Should also be Submitted
• Copy of last India visa - If available

Instructions for Obtaining an India e-Medical Visa:

A medical visa (MED Visa) is granted for an individual whose sole purpose is to seek medical treatment in established/recognized/specialized hospitals/treatment centers in India.

To obtain an India e-medical visa you you can scan and email (or send us) the following information:
All emailed documents should be sent as a PDF attachment, except for the photograph, which should be emailed as a Jpeg attachment.

• Clear color copy of bio page
• Clear color copy of bio page of passport (page with the picture)
• One Passport sized photograph. Photo must be 2 x 2 on a white background, and no glasses.Emailed passport photographs should be sent in Jpeg format only.
• Completed India e-Visa Questionnaire (See link below)
• Applicant should submit the medical documents establishing the need for and the bonafides (Letter from hospital on its letterhead) of taking medical treatment in India.
• Attendants/ family members of the patient coming to India for medical treatment will be granted Medical Attendant visa coterminous with the ‘Med Visa’ of the patient.
• Completed Ambassador Passport and Visa Cover Letter (See link below)
• Color copy of Driver’s License
• For Minors under 18: Copy of the Birth Certificate, Copy of Both Parent's State ID, Copy of Both Parent's Passports is required.
• For Non - US Citizens: A copy of Green Card or Legal Status in United States Should also be Submitted

One Year Multiple Entry Tourist Visa: $400.00 - Processing Time 6 to 7 Business Days.  Fees Include Consular Fees and Service Fees
Five Years Multiple Entry Tourist Visa: $450.00 - Processing Time 6 to 7 Business Days.  Fees Include Consular Fees and Service Fees

Business Visa:
One Year Multiple Entry Visa: $590.00 - Processing Time 6 to 7 Business Days.  Fees Include Consular Fees and Service Fees

Conference Visa:
$590.00 - Processing Time 6 to 7 Business Days.  Fees Include Consular Fees and Service Fees
